SRJC Emergency Grant

SRJC has received federal CARES Act funds to be provided directly as emergency aid to students. These funds are intended to help cover COVID-19 school-related expenses for students in need. Eligible expenses include course materials, technology, housing, food, health care (including mental health care), and child care.

Eligible students will receive emergency grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,500, depending on various factors, including whether they have dependents and/or are Pell grant recipients.

Students who are not eligible for Cares or AB19 grants (undocumented not AB540, international, and others) who qualify for the SRJC Crisis Response grant will be provided with $500 in assistance from our limited foundation emergency grant account.

To receive an emergency grant, eligible students must:

  1. Have expenses related to the coronavirus crisis
  2. Are enrolled in a minimum of three units or non-credit courses for the current semester.

Returning students who received Cares funds or Crisis Response Emergency Grants last semester and continue to meet eligibility will be automatically awarded and do not need to apply
